Ok, I guess when I stopped writing about the honeymoon I also stopped posting up the pictures. I’m working on putting them all up, but here are some for now:

Maybe this will give me some motivation to finish the epic that I started back in May…

Last week, I went to speak with our travel agent about our experiences. She took down the information and photocopied all of the papers that I had. She is going to be filing a report with Celebrity Cruises on our behalf and requested that I write a letter to her that she will forward along with it. This way, all of the pertinent information is sure to be included, and it will get sent to the appropriate people since AAA works with Celebrity Cruises often and has their own contacts. Even though you already know the situation, I’m including the letter that Darren and I worked on together after the break. Hopefully something will come out of all of this. Day 7 – Rhodes (2007.05.24)

Welcome back, true believers! In the last episode of “How Long Can Two Pairs of Underwear Last?”, our traveling duo was promised that they would finally get their luggage on the magical island of Rhodes. Still, they were wary of a possible trap…they had been deceived in the past and vowed that it would not happen again!

Day 6 – Mykonos (2007.05.23)

After last night’s bad news, we had to start today off right – with a visit to the breakfast buffet. When I’m home, I usually don’t even eat breakfast, but for some reason I ate about three breakfasts this morning. I pretty much had at least a bite of every sort of breakfast food that exists, and then seconds on the ones I liked the most. Lindsay is <sarcasm>slightly</sarcasm> pickier than me, so a single plate of food was enough for her. Sated, we went off to our first activity of the day, Jackpot Bingo!

After writing the previous post, I noticed that our message light was blinking. Figuring it was probably Jeannine, I asked Lindsay to check it. Watching her facial expressions as she listened to the phone, I could tell that something was wrong. Either that, or she was joking around…but at this point I don’t think either one of us would have hazarded a joke on the subject of our luggage…it just wasn’t funny anymore (not that it was ever funny, but it wasn’t as agonizing earlier in the trip). Jeannine’s message was that we’d have to wait until Rhodes (the day after tomorrow) to get our luggage. Apparently there’s an air traffic controller strike, so our bags can’t get to Mykonos. So, hopefully we’ll get them in Rhodes. If anyone’s keeping track, that will be day SEVEN of our dream honeymoon that we finally get our luggage. At this point, I figure it’ll be an act of God that will further delay our luggage…perhaps a tsunami or a typhoon or some other water-based cataclysm.

Sigh.
